As a employee vs Corporate

One fine Saturday morning when I was reading a newspaper, I was astounded to see statistics about the physical and emotional health of a corporate employee.

Stress is high in software profession because of their nature of work, target, achievements, night shift and over workload.

The following are some health suggestions I learned that morning and put it into practice. I'd like to share them with you

Time management

A certain amount of stress can be beneficial since it might motivate you to learn a new skill, complete tasks or do tasks well. However, prolonged stress can have a bad effect on your health in all respects, so there are few tips manage our daily routine.

  • Stick to a daily schedule.
  • Prioritize Your Priorities.
  • Tackle the most difficult task first.
  • Learn when to say no.
  • Accept your limitations.
  • Use time management tools (e.g., To-do lists).

Give your eyes a break from computer:

You may not realize it but sitting and staring at a computer screen all day long puts a lot of strain on your eyes and can cause vision problems, headaches and other health problems, so some of the health tips are

  • Adjust Brightness in your PC.
  • Blink often to refresh your eyes.
  • Take eye breaks Try the 20-20-20 rule: Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds.
  • Take A Deep Breath If you're feeling overwhelmed or are coming out of a tense meeting and need to clear your head, a few minutes of deep breathing will restore balance. Simply inhale for five seconds, hold and exhale in equal counts through the nose.

Eat Right and Sleep Well

Research also reveals links between stress and eating, even though while under stress, people's bodies retain more fat than when they are at ease, people tend to reach for foods rich in calories and fat.

  • Cut The Junk Eating junk foods can lead to an increased risk of obesity and chronic diseases like cardiovascular disease and some cancers.
  • Pack Home-Cooked Meals Bringing healthy meals and snacks from home will make it easier to eat well on your shift.
  • Don’t Skip Breakfast Breakfast being the first meal of the day is the most important meal. One should not skip breakfast as it helps in breaking your overnight fast.
  • Healthy Eating Options Consume a wide range of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and fat-free or low-fat dairy products every day includes nuts, beans, eggs, seafood, poultry and lean meats.
  • How much sleep do we need? Healthy adults need between 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night.

So, I prefer to draw the conclusion that in this ever-changing world first changes beings within me, then it changes our workplace and society.
